Looking for a solution to connect all of their car dealerships and their respective employees to a common portal platform. And to enable their external dealer users to search, find and access vehicle-related information like vehicle info, service contracts, warranties, claims, documents, etc.
Solution
Salesforce Community Cloud
The portal solution to connect all their car dealerships. As a part of the solution, we did custom configuration and development, based on exact customer needs, using Customer Community Cloud. Giving all of their dealer users access to customer service contracts, warranties, reports etc.
UI
User friendly pages were developed using custom Lightning components.
Data
A custom REST API (APEX) integration was built to connect and pull vehicle information from legacy vehicle databases into Salesforce. Which was then made available for use in the customer portal.
Processes
Built utilizing Process Builder, flows, workflows, queues, and custom Batch classes, to pull in the latest up-to date vehicle information in Salesforce. The custom Batch code was set up to run every 5 minutes.
Result
The new customer portal is driving the business forward and empowering their dealership users by serving as the one place for all of their dealership users to search, find and access the vehicle information. It has also helped speed up online transactions i.e. claim inquiry, warranties, service contracts, reports, etc. The dealership users are now able to submit claims quickly and get a response in a matter of hours rather than wait for weeks.
The customer is benefiting by saving time, money and resources, and being able to communicate more effectively and consistently while facilitating faster financial transactions with their dealership network.
